"To be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love."

September 19, 2015 Dear Jane, I dare say that you will not believe the fantastic week that I have had unless I give you a thoroughly precise account of it. (Do not let yourself become too excited for I have not yet fallen love with a modern day Mr. Darcy, but it is still exciting news!) I hardly know where to begin! (How often is it that I start a letter with so much glee? I must endeavor to have a happier tone in my letters if this such an uncommon occurrence.) ... The three dots above indicate a lapse in time in which instead of writing, I walked to the local washer woman (or rather, the laundromat) and dropped off (or rather, did myself) my clothes to be cleaned. This is my least favorite errand to complete as I am now very weary and have no desire to do anything else for the remainder of the day. That being said, I shall do my best to continue this correspondence. Where was I? Oh yes...my adventures. I shall go day by day so that I can be sure that I do not leave a single...

October 10, 2014 Dear Jane, How is it that we are already in the midst of October? I fear that time is flying by much too quickly for my liking, and I am sure that I would feel much more at ease if it moved at a more leisurely pace. The bewitching fragrances of leaves and pumpkin in the air are invigorating and truly allow one to feel all the joys of autumn. Unfortunately, living in New York City, I have yet to breath in these fine hints of autumnal bliss. However, the smell of rubbish seems to lessen as the air gets cooler, which is something that one must always be grateful for. I am fortunate that I was able to have a nice holiday at home...

November 4, 2013 Dear Jane, In truth, I cannot truly express how desperately I have missed writing letters to you!  I write to you tonight from yet another new location in the great state of New York, but I am both relieved and elated to say that I will finally be in Queens for at least six months in the same flat.  How can I properly convey to you how draining these past two months have been for me, Jane?  Since you wrote so many characters who were well acquainted with the life at sea, I will use the following analogy to assist you in understanding my perspective on the matter:   I feel as if I have been a lonely seafarer (much like dear Captain Wentworth of Persuasion ), who never had the opportunity to dock his (or her) ship for more than a few days, and aimlessly sailed from port to port never knowing what destiny had in store for them....Now, while  I completely agree with your notion that we ladies want infinitely more out of life than just wading mono...
